I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine and not biased in any way.
Hotwire is a book that based its story around a spy, Christy, who's mission was to track down a missing car in New York's best academy. In the process completing the mission, she discovers a whole other mission.

Hotwire was such a good read and I really enjoyed it! One of the reasons I decided to read it is because I really enjoyed the spy aspect and the fact how we don't get any mentions of people from the previous book is also something else I liked. The characters in here this book were great and I really enjoyed reading for the recurring characters but also the new characters. The action is epic so if you like action, mystery, and contemporaries go for his book!

Okay let's just get straight into the review because there is some juicy stuff from this book we have to talk about! So Jeremy and Christy finally kissed...did you hear? Did you hear? IT WAS SUCH A GREAT SCENE. I kept rereading it and rereading it then re-imagining it over and over again. Ugh, it was such a great scene and i'm so glad it finally happened. Christy has been crushing on him since Adrenaline Rush and I don't know how long Jeremy has been crushing on Chrsity but I am just so glad it happened.

Let's talk characters because the characters in this book were pretty good. The recurring characters, Christy and Jeremy, were you know, great as usual. Ace being a dad was the most hilarious thing ever. He was so intimidating and protective to the point where he had a riffle with him. It was just something someone could remember for awhile after reading a book. Okay then we have the jerkfaces, Jericho, Victor, and Alexander. Now there isn't much to say about these kids. They're jerky people who do jerky things. Simple, but they get sicker than the other. It goes Victor is the least sick but still pretty much as jerk. Then Jericho who is a complete ass and Alexander who is a jerk ass, Yes, I ranked 'em, how you feel about that Victor, Alexander, and Jericho? One last person we have to bash on, CARSON. CARSON WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE. I WANTED HIM TO AT LEAST END UP LIKE DAKOTA, WHY? I really liked him and he didn't deserve to die. Ugh he should have left when Christy told him to why why why?

Okay now let's talk about a few things in this book. I have one question, Why did it take them so long to get off the boat. I understand they got caught about twice trying to escape but seriously, I felt like the first time they got to the escape boats they didn't think things through and just...jumped. Also, the person who created this mission is an idiot and selfish. Like, you put four people in jeopardy because you're an idiot who can't keep a car? If I was on that mission and found out why I was on it in the first place I would have made sure that person was fired.

Now the part I've been waiting for....THE ENDING! Holy crud this part was epic. It was a mixture of fighting, guns, dead people, and distractions. I really liked the part where they were able to take down Jericho and Alexander. I was just getting so freaked out because Jericho was beating up Christy at one point. I got really worried at the very end when the director told them they couldn't be together on missions anymore. They were such a good team I would have been so sad to see them leave. Also, the parts where Chrity was stealing cars, I was just thinking "This is the coolest thing ever but probably the worse." Then there was that one part when Christy went digging in Alexander's office, which resulted in her getting in trouble was just really scary. It just wanted me to tell everyone to get out of his house and stop associating with him.
Thank you for reading! So tell me: Have you read any books by Cindy or plan to?
