In a world before The Program… Quinlan McKee is a closer. Since the age of seven, Quinn has held the responsibility of providing closure to grieving families with a special skill—she can “become” anyone. Recommended by grief counselors, Quinn is hired by families to take on the short-term role of a deceased loved one between the ages of fifteen and twenty. She’s not an exact copy, of course, but she wears their clothes and changes her hair, studies them through pictures and videos, and soon, Quinn can act like them, smell like them, and be them for all intents and purposes. But to do her job successfully, she can’t get attached. Now seventeen, Quinn is deft at recreating herself, sometimes confusing her own past with those of the people she’s portrayed. When she’s given her longest assignment, playing the role of Catalina Barnes, Quinn begins to bond with the deceased girl’s boyfriend. But that’s only the beginning of the complications, especially when Quinn finds out the truth about Catalina’s death. And the epidemic it could start.

Publishing by: Knopf Books for Young Readers
Publishing on: October 20th 2015
This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do. This afternoon, her planet was invaded. The year is 2575, and two rival mega corporations are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit. But their problems are just getting started. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet's AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their enemy; and nobody in charge will say what’s really going on. As Kady hacks into a tangled web of data to find the truth, it's clear only one person can help her bring it all to light: the ex-boyfriend she swore she'd never speak to again. Told through a fascinating dossier of hacked documents—including emails, schematics, military files, IMs, medical reports, interviews, and more—Illuminae is the first book in a heart-stopping, high-octane trilogy about lives interrupted, the price of truth, and the courage of everyday heroes.

Not bad! I added a book (because I couldn't wait any longer to read it) but I read a total of 8 books, the amount I usually strive for. Had some time during car rides and that really benefit me. This month, I definitely have a good amount of books so I am excited to get to those because I AM MARATHONING THE THRONE OF GLASS SERIES. I have been wanting to read these for so long and I finally read the first book and loved it. Fulfilling this desire to read this series excites me so much.

This month will be the first full month at school. Anticipating loads of homework sooner or later and getting used to waking and sleeping early. Did a little blog redesigning because, I felt like it was time and I was getting sick of the same three colors. Trying to get reviews out more so there won't be a huge two week different from when I actually read the book to when I actually post the review. There will also be some discussions coming up! Excited to write those. I know I also said that I would return back to Seize the Tuesday once school started but I think I may be putting that meme on a hold for now. I am really. enjoying Top Ten Tuesday and probably will be continuing to post those for the time being. Some great releases went out on the first of this month and more will be coming out, which I am super super excited for. A ton of books to read this month and a lot of them are books I have been wanting to read for awhile now. There may be a few special announcements going up this month and design changes so watch out for those! :)
